Great Complement to Google Earth

To follow up my previous post about the benefits of Google Earth, the technology world never lets us down with more and more outlets to acquire information via the web.  Esri also has a free mapping software that has alot of great features that can complement Google Earth and it can even open kml files.  You can calculate acreages that you can only do in a paid version of google earth and it already comes with built in basemaps for aerial, street and topo.  I have already started using each program as a side by side gang of information that can not only help the average landowner, but even a professional forester such as myself.
